Data strip or Scan Strip is the adhesive plastic stripping that goes on shelves. It holds a computer generated label that gives a description of the item sold and its price.
The scan stripping is available in two basic sizes of 914 mm (old 3 foot size) and 1200 mm (old 4 foot size). These two sizes fit most merchandise and shelving units in use today. Colours are clear (standard), black, red, blue and grey. Also other profiles are available for use: angle stripping, hinged stripping and hanging stripping.
